Opening the Asqar Islyamov geography classroom in Akzhar
In 2022, Abai Secondary School in Akzhar, Tarbagatai district, opened a classroom honouring the geography teacher and his educational legacy.
Opening the classroom
The school’s geography classroom was named after geography teacher Asqar Islyamov. Its opening connected remembrance of the educator with daily school life, lessons and subject events.
Learning and events
Geographical maps, a globe and the educator’s words about school and upbringing connect the subject with his teaching traditions. The classroom provides a place for pupils to study geography and encounter his legacy.
The district olympiad named after Asqar Islyamov continued this tradition, bringing pupils in grades 9–11 to the school on 29 April 2025.
