“Askar Zhumagululy Islyamov made a significant contribution to the development of education and pedagogical culture of East Kazakhstan and the Republic as a whole. His name was known at the level of the entire Soviet Union, and the pedagogical experience of the Islyamov family was presented in Moscow at the A. S. Makarenko Museum as an example of advanced practice. Over 45 years of work, he published about 50 methodological and scientific-practical works, participated in the VDNKh of the USSR, was a diploma winner of the Peace Fund and a delegate to republican congresses of teachers. After his passing, his ideas and works continued to live in scientific publications, films, and educational initiatives. Today, the Republican contest «Лучшее педагогическое эссе» (Best Pedagogical Essay) bears the name of Askar Islyamov, as well as classrooms, olympiads, and projects that preserve and develop his pedagogical heritage.”
